Thefollowing three conditions should be met for you to use a charger safely.
1)Output Voltage is within +/- 5% of your old charger's output. For example, ifyour old charger provides 19.5V, then you can use a charger that provides 20.5Vor 18.5V. 2) Output Current is the same or higher than that of your old charger. For example, ifyour original adapter provides 3.42 Amps, then you can use a charger thatprovides 3.42 Amps, 3.9 Amps or higher. 3) Connector tip must fit securely into your laptop.Pleasecheck carefully before using nx9110 adapter on t30.
Try to attach EXTERNAL MONITOR to check if you have display from External Display and to confirm that your Laptop System is still working. If you got display from external monitor, therefore you have a faulty LCD / Inverter (gives your LCD a back-light)
You go to the right, where it has the orange bar, and ->User manual IBM ThinkPad T30 - Install Guide, in it. Under this heading this is a PDF file icon. Under the icon it states -> Download the complete user guide (484 Ko) I clicked on it. It brings you to a page where you look at numbers that come tumbling down into 4 boxes. You type the numbers as they come tumbling down, one by one in the box on the right. (You'll see what I mean) After the 4 numbers have been typed into that box, you go below, and click on Download the users guide. I read their contract. You just use the down arrow on the right to scroll it down. From reading it, it looks legit. This is all I can tell you. I didn't download it, and don't know about it. Choice is yours now.
The first link on top I do know about. I downloaded it, and everything is fine. It's a Hardware Maintenance Manual, but may have some of the general user information you need.
