I have tried the solutions that were suggested, and I find no paper blocking the feed but it still will not load the paper. Any other suggestions besides buying a new machine?

No matter how much I try I cannot get the paper in!! Very frustrating!!

  • denden22 May 26, 2009

I folded the tape back to make a point on one side of the tape. It went through by pushing and hitting the FEED button many times. However, now it won't feed automatically when on the print selection, nor when hitting the FEED button. One issue resolved, now working to resolve a new one. Anyone run into this? Resolutions?

The tape goes into a small slot on the backside of the machine, not in the clear plastic cover. Install the roll so the paper rolls off the bottom, not over the top. Folding the paper back about 2" does help you get it through.

I agree..make a fold like a point and push it in the back slot while pressing the paper feed button...should feed or you have some other paper caught in there

How do I thread the paper tape to the machine

Hello, my name is Curtis, and I am a Sharp Customer Service Rep. What you will want to do is on the back of the calculator there should be a thin horizontal slot that you would feed the paper through, it will only feed so far before it hits a wall on the inside, make sure the calculator is turned on and press the feed key in the upper left side of the calculator, it should take up the paper, if not then give us a call at 1-800-237-4277 or 1-800-BE-SHARP. Hope everything works out.

Loading paper into a 1205-3 Victor calculator?

I just got the same calculator without a manual. Fold over one corner of the tape so it almost goes to the other edge of the paper, making a 45 degree angle. Insert the tip of the tape into the slot at the back of the calculator and push it ahead until the corner goes under the black plastic part. I had to push it ahead a little more until it was starting to come upward on the other side. Push the arrow button at the top left corner of the keypad to advance the tape.

Loading paper

Cut paper at an angle and insert and push into back slot with tip of angle (apex) to the right of machine when facing it. It should engage number wheel when you hit addition sign, You may need tweezers to pull it thru if it doesn't advance.

Loading paper

The entry point is on the back bottom of the machine. Cut your paper into a shallow triangle w/a slight point in the middle. Guide it through the slot on the back, and then lift that point up so that it goes into an almost invisible opening with small silver metal tabs on either side. The paper will want to feed underneath the entire black plastic mechanism, but don't let it. As the instructions indicate, the paper does not actually feed "under the black plastic plate", but through it. After you manage to insert the point of your paper through the correct slot, make sure the entire edge of the paper actually enters so it is grabbed when you push "Feed."

Register tape

Assuming that you know where the paper gets feed in, I usually use this trick to start a new roll of paper.
First, tear off the end of the new roll so that there isn't any glue stuck on the paper.
Then, fold the tip of the paper like an arrow. (Fold one side to the middle and the other side to the middle so both sides meet in the middle. Looks like >
Then, place the paper into the slot where the paper feeds into in the back. (Paper will get fed under the printer assembly) and then hit the PAPER FEED/ADVANCE button at the same time. If the paper is in the correct slot, the paper should start feeding the paper all the way through.
Hope this helps.
Have a good day.

I know i know

Had the same problem. The tape does not feed through the top of the machine but instead through the slot at the back of the machine. It looks odd, but that is where it goes.

Okay...It took me forever to figure it out but I finally got it. On the back of the calculator there is a slot (back meaning where the black cord is connected to the calculator). fold the paper to make a perfect straight line. feed the paper through there and press thee upward arrow. it should work.

hope I helped...=)
