Cursor stuck in the middle of screen!!!!!

The mouse is used by people to navigate around the operating system like Windows.

There are a number of buttons on the mouse, Left Click, Right Click, Scroll Wheel and Wheel Click.

Your index finger operates the Left Click and you middle finger operates the Right Click and Scroll Wheel.

The mouse, when moved in turn moves whats known as a cursor on the screen, it's that arrow.

Think of the cursor as your pointing finger.

1. Have you tried cleaning the optical lense on the bottom?
2. Or unplugging it, restarting your computer, and then pluggin it back in?
3. Have you went into your control panel/mouse (properties) then click on the "hardware tab" to do a "troubleshoot" or it's properties?

I have had several mouse(mice) go out on me. These are the steps I try first. Good Luck!

IT IS MAINLY DUE TO VIRUS PROBLEM

try to connect external keyboard/mouse. if that work, your input devices went south. did you spill something over? number of model is located at the bottom.

Try an external mouse. You might have to turn off the touchpad in BIOS (F2 key on boot will get you into setup). Look for Mouse/Touchpad under 'Post Behavior' or perhaps elsewhere (differently displayed in various BIOS setups).

What are you using? a laptop or a PC?

If you are using a PC then check that the mouse is connected properly to the slot. Also check the ball inside the mouse, it happens sometimes when its dirty, clean the ball inside the mouse and also inside the mouse(use a small cloth).

If you mouse is wireless then check the battery in your mouse. It might run out of charge. Also check the button which is used to turn on the mouse. It might be jammed.

If its a touchpad there is no solution that I can think of other than buying a mouse.

try to check you mouse... It is possible that your mouse had an error in connection... try to replace an extra mouse if you have...

HIt the scroll lock button

Try to Boot windows in safe mode...

If you are using an external mouse, unplug it and see if it will go with the pad.If it works with the pad then its the exteranal mouse.
If you are using the pad you may have to replace the pad or recalibrate it using the pointer device, you can use the tab key to go through to the start menu then use the arrow keys to go to control panel.
