This is likely to be the particular memory card you are using.

some GENUINE olympus memory cards will only record short snipets of video in MPEG4 mode.

I believe a memory card with model like M-512Mb has this fault.

Check the Olympus website.

Can you explain what 10 second video clips at 30 frames per second mean?

It means that the video will last 10 seconds. 30 frames/sec is the quality of the video. It is the number of individual pictures take per second. Example: 10 frames/sec produces a jerky video but is sometimes used for security monitoring. On some cameras you can reduce the frames/sec to get a longer running time.

Why does my olympus sz30mr take ages to take a pic. Says its busy. Iso is set to -1.3 will this slow the shutter speed under low light conditions

Be aware ti takes a camera the same time to save a camera, as it needs to shoot the picture. So if you shoot at 4 seconds, it will take at least 4 seconds to save the picture. When you are shooting under normal conditions, you won't notice it, because a shot from 1/30 of a second is saved in 1/30 of a second after you shot, It becomes noticeable when you use shutter times from half a second or longer, but it is absolute normal for any digital camera.

I can't record longer on my easy share cx7300 camera

you can't.... it records only "video clips" without sound, maximum length of recording is 30 seconds...... and the quality is very poor, you'd be better off using an older camera-phone.

I can't shoot video with the GE digital camera A1255 for longer than 30 seconds, any help?

For uninterrupted video, you need a fast card. For example, if your camera uses an SD or SDHC card, it should be a class 6 or better.

My FujiFilm s7000 only shoots 30 seconds of video before telling me it's busy and saving what it shot. Why does it do this and how do I fix it?

To shoot longer videos, you need a card fast enough to keep up. Faster cards are more expensive but if you shoot a lot of video, it may be worth it to you.

Batteries problem....

Try rechargable NiMH batteries. They are specifically designed for today's technology, and last much, much longer than traditional batteries. It doesn't matter about the brand -- Energizer, Rayovac, Duracell, generic -- I've found that they all tend to last about the same amount of time in my digital camera. But I only use rechargable ones anymore.

Samsung sgh-a707....camera and video features no longer work...error message says camera failed....

Solution: Bring it into your retailer. Mine did the same thing in 2008 (I'd open up camera and it would just freeze). AT&T gave me a brand new phone, save the sim card, battery, and battery cover.

P.S. I'd back up all your photos/videos/ringtones/etc. to and SD card so you don't lose them all like I did. Contacts saved to sim card stay.

Video longer than 30 seconds?

Only the card size. The bigger the card the the bigger the file. your manual should tell you how many images or video length you can get on a given size of card.
