Question about Fellowes Manufacturing FEL36055 Powershred Shredder Bags for Model 380 2 50 Bags and TiesCarton

1 Answer

Won't shred I have a fellowes powershred 380. When the power is on it will go in reverse but does not go forward to feed/shred> I pulled the top off and mechanically it's sound could the power/feed switch itself be bad ? If not that any suggestions. Also when you move the motor forward/feed rotation it moves freely and every thing works jsut no power. Thanks Ed.

We have a Fellowes Powershred C0320C shredder which will does not take the material to be shredded except on one end and does not pull it in and shred it.

Try to use the reverse action of the shredder. This runs the shredder blades in reverse and sometime CLEARS the left over shredded material that can cause a malfunction. Careful...watch your fingers as the blades are sharp and they can injure you. Never place your hands or garments near the open blades when it is plugged in.
Check also that the small switch is free and clear of derbies. When the cutting gears are in place on the container box, the small actuator switch is free to turn on or off until the shredding box is full. Once the box is full of shredded material the switch will turn off (a safety provision) and you must empty the container before it will operated again.

Where is the fuse in the fellowes w11c?

There probably isn't a fuse. Or it's a non-replaceable one.
They suggest you allow it to cool for 20 minutes, when it becomes overheated it's supposed to shut down. Then in the case of a paper jam, try reverse, if that doesn't work, try forward again.

Needs lubricating

So try lubricating the unit check out this link...

Should cost less that $12 for a package of sheets. Try one and see if the screeching stops.
Good luck..

All lights turn on as needed and has power but won't grab paper to shred

suspect paper jam try using reverse button the dislodge paper.
suspect paper feed sensor is blocked or damaged there is a light beem in front of the teeth that starts the shredder if this defective the shredder will not start.
suspect a panel or bin is not correctly seated causing the shredder to not start.

Shredder motor will run in reverse, but not

Sounds like a bad or dirty switch you can try to clean it with alcohol ( the switch that gets activated by the paper)
