I think this problem indicates a failure of the main board - possibly high humidity affecting the internals. You could try putting the camera in a snap shut poly bag with a cloth tie of rice or salt and placing all in dry environment. This is to attempt to dry out the camera. Remove the batteries and memory card when doing so. But please appreciate the condition may be Fatal already.

When I turn on my Canon PC 1130 to take a picture, the lcd screen and view finder just show a black screen. Camera is working fine in the play mode. Please help.

Set the camera in TV mode, (delayed shutter mode) set the shutter at 15 sec, click to take a picture and during that 15 secs (like, after 7 seconds) open the battery compartment which cuts contact with the battery circuit. Close the battery cover. At this point the camera works fine ... but only temporarily.... Here is the key to the permanent fix. While the camera is working via the temporary fix, take many, many pictures. Hundreds! I probably snapped 400-600 pics. The idea is to wear down the little patches of hardened oil on the shutter blades. For the next three days I took hundreds of pics each day. Basically, I just aimed the camera at the wall or whatever and snapped off several hundred pics.

Utilitech model 0141224 wall switch timer. used on outdoor lighting to set up to 7 on/off cycles each day. im trying to turn on my porch light in the evening and off in the morning. there are NO...

As luck would have it I'm 60, and learned how to program your 0141224 wall switch timer.
You can see instructions with big print and pictures on following page.
Press CTRL key on keyboard and use scroll wheel on mouse to make web print bigger.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Program-wire-Utilitec-LW60418.html

Add a comment any time.

You have wired your timer correctly and the lights turn on when you push on-off button.
If lights do not turn on, we need to review the wiring.
Your timer looks like photo below.
geno_3245.gif

I'm going to parrot back the manual with some extra words.
To start, press the reset button and clear any programming

Programing overview:
Each program has ON time ... and OFF time
So you set program1 ON and then set program1 OFF
When you set program1 ON, you choose the Day, hour and minute you want program1 to turn ON.
And then you set program1 OFF, and choose Day, hour and minute for program1 to turn OFF.
Your ON-OFF times for program1 should be on same days.
For example program1 ON for all-days-of-the-week, but program1 OFF is for TU Tuesday, then timer will not work.
IN this case, program1 OFF should also be set for all-days-of-the-week.
Let's start.

Setting the clock:
Press and hold CLOCK button
Keep holding CLOCK button and press DAY button until display shows current day (MO TU WE TH FR SA SU)
Press Hour button until current hour with am pm displays
Press MIN button until current minute displays.
Release clock button and current day and time show on display
At no other part of instructions do you press and hold one button while pressing other button.

Setting programs:
Press PROG button until "1" and 'ON' show on display
This is program1 ON
Press DAY button to choose which days for program1 ON.
You can choose: all-days-of-the-week and MO TU WE TH FR SA SU show on display
Choose individual days and MO or TU etc shows in display
Choose weekdays MO TU WED TH FR
Weekends SA SU show in display
Next step
Press HOUR button to select hour for program1 ON
Press MIN to select minute for program1 ON

Now program1 ON is ready, next, you will set program1 OFF

Press PROG button until "1" and 'OFF' shows on display
This is program1 OFF
Press DAY button to choose which days for program1 OFF.
( Remember, you want same days for ON and OFF)
Press HOUR button to select hour for program1 OFF
Press MIN to select minute for program1 OFF

Now program1 ON and OFF are ready, next, you will set program2 ON by repeating same steps above.
You can set up to 7 programs.
If you don't want to set program2, or any more programs, that's fine.

To exit programming and save your program, press CLOCK.
Now current time shows in display.

Final step: set MODE
Press MODE button until AUTO shows in display. You want AUTO for programming to operate lights. That's it, timer is ready.
If you're going on vacation, press MODE button until RDM shows in display, and then timer turns lights on-off at random

Copy and save these instructions to your computer so you have them next year.

How do you set for 7 days lights on and off

Intermatic has two slightly different ways depending on model. first way:

Press MODE until the screen displays PGM
with blanks for time.
Press DAY/DST as many times as necessary to
display 12:00 a.m. and the day(s) you want
the program to activate. Choices are:
- everyday
- weekdays only
- weekends only
- a specific day
NOTE: If you go too far, keep pressing DAY/DST to loop back
around again.
Press HOUR+ to set the hour you want the program to turn ON.
Press M+ to set the minutes you want the
program to turn ON.
Press NEXT ON/OFF to set the OFF time for the
program. The screen again displays blanks.
Press DAY/DST as many times as necessary to
display 12:00 a.m. and the day(s) you want
the program to activate.
NOTE: Since you're setting an OFF time for an
ON event already programmed, choose the
same days as in the ON event.
Press HOUR+ to set the hour you want the program to turn
OFF.
Press M+ to set the minutes you want the
program to turn OFF.
At this point you have two choices:
Press MODE if you are finished to exit from programming.
Press NEXT ON/OFF to set another program. Repeat from
Step 2 above.

Second way:

Press the MODE button one time. (PGM) will be displayed on the top left corner of the timer. We are setting the ON time for Program 1. --:-- -- 1 ON will be displayed on the screen.
Press the DAY/DST (bottom left) button to select the day or series of days the timer is to turn ON. You can either select the ASTRO time, which will adjust as the days get longer and shorter or a specific time. To use the ASTRO time press the DAY/DST until SNST appears on the screen. All seven days will be shown on the bottom of the timer.
Or to use a specific time press the DAY/DST button and select the day or series of days the timer is to turn ON.
Use the HOUR+YEAR- (bottom center) button and select the HOUR to turn the unit ON. Use the
M+ZONE+YEAR+ (bottom right) button to set the MINUTES of your on time.
Press the next ON/OFF button one time. We are now setting the OFF time for program 1. Press the DAY/DST (bottom left) to select the day or series of days of operation. To use the ASTRO time press the button until SNUP appears on your screen.
Or to select a specific time, press the DAY/DST button and select a day or series of days the unit is to turn Off.
Press the HOUR+YEAR- (bottom center) button and set the hour of your off time. Press the M+ZONE+YEAR+ (bottom right) button to select the minutes of your Off time.
For additional programs press the NEXT ON/OFF button to the next program and follow above steps. Check the unused programs to assure they are blank. To check the other programs press the NEXT ON/OFF button, you should see --:-- -- on the screen. If a time appears press and release the DAY/DST button until the --:-- -- appears. Repeat this step thru Program 7 off.
Press the MODE button. (AUTO) will appear on top center of screen.

If you cannot program, try to reset the whole timer:

Press the RESET and the NEXT ON/OFF buttons at the same time. Release the buttons and wait for 1200 to start blinking.

Timex has two ways to find information about your particular watch. Some of these models only have a guide consisting of a few pages. If you don't have the manual, Try this link:

Complete Timex link site:
http://www.timex.com/info/Product_Instruction_Guides_Downloads

Now, look up the model number, or if you cannot find that, check the three-digit Module Number from the back of the watch. Click on it in the Module Table, and download a PDF of your watch setting-instructions/manual.

If you need further help, call Timex in Little Rock, Arkansas, phone 1-800-448-4639.

I hope this helps you. Thanks, Bill
