I don't know what is going on...?

Sometimes the tv will turn off by itself. There is a button to turn all the power off to the tv-it stays lit up red(it is green when the tv is on and working). We usually solve this problem by turning off all the power to the tv, and unplugging it from the wall outlet. It has worked almost everytime. What could be causing this?

I have a onn universal remote but there are no codes for a onn tv

Press the "Power" button on the TV you want to sync with the universal remote. Push and hold the "LED" button on the remote until the button lights up and stays lit. Push the "TV" button The "LED" light will blink once, then stay lit again. Point the remote toward your TV and press the "Power" button on your remote, holding it down until the TV turns off. Do not press "Power" again after the device turns off. Press the "Enter" button on your remote. The LED light will no longer stay lit. Your remote control is now programmed for use with the device.

I have a pioneer Pro 200 and have had it for a dozen years. I have an HD in my office and the picture is so good and bright on the Pioneer I just cannot bring myself to get rid of it. The TV blinks off...

Im going to guess that if you try turning it on, sometimes you hear a "click" and nothing then the problem persists over and over until it finally turns on? If so, it's a problem with the power that "jumpstarts" the screen. Worn out capacitors on older models don't hold the necessary charge it takes to "start" the inverter that powers the screen. Once those start to go, it's usually bye bye for the tv. That is IF this is your problem. Let me know. Sometimes it makes hissing or cracking noises along with it. hope this helps!

I have the code but don't know how to setup??

Direct Code Entry
  1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
  4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.
    Code Search Method
    1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
    2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
    3. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks once, then stays on.
    4. Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
    5. Press and release MUTE to install the code. The indicator light goes off.
Most users will want to store VCR codes under the VCR button, Cable codes under CBL, etc. If you want to store a VCR code under CBL, etc., first follow the procedure for Direct Code Entry and press CBL in step 2 of Direct Code Entry, then enter ANY VCR code in step 3 of Direct Code Entry. Then follow the steps above for Code Search.

Do not know how to program the systemlink3 universal t,v. remote control to my t.v.

Option 1:
To clear things up and make it simple, here is how to program the RCA Systemlink 3 remote:
****WITH DEVICE TURNED ON****
  1. Press and hold the "Code Search" button until the LED lights, then release. LED will stay light.
  2. Press and release the device key to be programmed. LED will go off when button is pressed and back on when released. LED remains on.
  3. Press and release the remote On/Off (power) button as many times as required to turn your device OFF.
  4. When device turns OFF, press and release the ENTER button.
Test remote on device, if ALL functions do not work, repeat above procedure.
***IMPORTANT NOTE***Count how many times you press the On/Off button. If ALL funtions do not work and you need to repeat, you don't want to stop at the same non-working code. For instance, if it takes 23 times to turn your device off and after testing, the remote does not control all functions, repeat steps 1-3 BUT when the device turns off at the 23rd time, turn it back on using the power button ON THE ACTUAL DEVICE then continue with step 3 and 4 from above.

Option 2:

Thanks for the hints on your web site. For the RCA SystemLink 3 with the key pad, I could not get the sequences described to work. But they did point me in a direction which worked for my remote:
  • With the TV on (for TV)
  • Press and hold code search until the light stays on
  • Press TV (for TV) button once
  • Press the on/off button once
  • Thereafter, the light will stay lit and every couple to three seconds it will blink twice indicating it is trying another code.
  • When the TV turned off, I pressed enter. Thereafter the unit worked.

The power relay driver or the relay itself is bad. Its sticking closed so the voltage is there for the power supply but the micro has turned off the tuner.
