Question about Kenwood KW85 Air Conditioner

Kenwood KW85 Air Conditioner

The air conditioner will suddenly stop after being on for maybe an hour or so and says E4. It also makes somewhat of a grinding sound while on and doesn't fill up with water. The air seems to be cool as if the a.c. is on, but doesn't fill up with water. Any ideas of what is wrong? Thanks!

after a couple (1-2) hours of working it will stop and display the E4 error message.

Start the unit and press the remote control at C if the display in the unit displays C, then turn off the unit using the remote control and plug out the ac supply. Plug the unit again and using the remote control turn on the unit. If the E4 still display there is something wrong with your air in sensor or the main board itself. Replacement of this parts needs a qualified technician.

Kenwood KW85 Portable Air Conditioner

Using remote control "on" the unit, then push the C button of remote control, if the C display at the unit "off" the unit using also the remote control. Unplug the power supply then plug again and start the unit using the remote control.
It the instruction above don't solve the problem, the return air sensor is out of range or the main board of the unit itself is defective. You need a qualified tech with this problem.
