Trouble receiving web cam

When trying to have a web cam chat with certain friends it is not loading at their end when the cam is working perfectly well at mine. I can receive their cam's, but mine will not connect to them

I have the same problem when using skype. My friends can't see me, but camera working fine at my end. Will reload software.

If the invitees are able to see you then your web-cam is working fine and it is the invitee who has the problem. So please ask them to reinstall the drivers to the web-cam or restore the PC to an earlier set date.

Solution for Acer Crystal Eye Web Cam Problem

Acer Laptop users have been shouting for solutions over the problem that they are facing with their computers. They usually have problems while migrating to Windows 7. There isn't really that much problem because Acer has provided their system's with drivers which are compatible with almost all of the devices except for their Web Camera.

Well, I don't really know the reason why it happens. Two days ago, a friend of mine who's jealous with my Windows 7 laptop updated his Aspire Computer to Windows 7 from XP. While other drivers work perfectly by default and some other drivers can be downloaded or updated via acer's website, there is one component which is really very important (Web Camera) which didn't work.

Of course, I as a true friend comes to the rescue, only to find out that every driver that you can find in Acer's website which are intended for the Web Cam didn't work.

Almost all of them gave the same error message:

"No ACER video capture device was detected on your system".

Or do nothing at all.

I didn't give up until I finally found a solution that perfectly worked for this problem. I have read that it doesn't work with some of Acer's computer. But you can give it a try. It worked with my friends Acer, why not work with yours, right? There's no harm in trying than doing at all. If it will not work, then, just let me know and I'll find some other ways on how to help you with it. Or maybe, Acer will release the solution someday. However, let's not wait for that someday.

Acer Camera Suyin v.5.2.5.3 is made to work with Windows 7. Thanks to the creator of this certain driver. I'm not sure who made it but I salute him or them.

After installing it in my friends computer, I restarted the system and it worked. I was a hero again. I have received my friend's sweet "thank you" and she even bought me a pizza. LOL

Click the Start My Webcam' option. This will load your webcam, and is among the ways you can get your webcam to begin broadcasting. 3. While you are talking to a friend click on the camera icon that appears in a chat window. 4. Click on a contact from your Contact List, then click 'Invite to View My Webcam.' This opens a new IM window with your webcam active. 5. Click the 'View Webcam' link while talking to others in IM. This will allow you to see their webcams. Others: *1. Use the 'Super Webcam' mode when you want to send and receive high-quality images and feeds. Broadband makes it possible to see one another in very high resolution, although even with high-end broadband your computer may slow down a bit because of the amount of memory and processing power this requires. *2. I can't chat with my web cam with other ACER netbook users. I would like to chat with my friends who have ACER netbooks but i cant seem to figure out how. I own a ACER laptop netbook with a built in web...

Do you use yahoo messenger to chat? If your are using yahoo messenger, while chatting, look be-nit the chat box, you would see a web cam symbol, click it and you will see a warning box pop out. Click OK and your web cam will automatically be activated.

You would have to wait a little while for the web cam to show, because it has to load. Loading time depends solely on your computer and internet connection speed.

Web cam not streaming

what chat are you using?
have you used your webcam for this chat before?
sounds like the config in the chat program is wrong and it's not loading your cam.
try opening the options in your chat program and check the camera settings, it may just be a box that isn;t checked.
if it works on your computer it should work in a chat if it's config'd right

I am haveing a trouble with my web cam

If your web cam is working on the unit itself but fails to open on chats or messengers, do this:
1. Turn off UAC (user access controls), it should be on control panel, user accounts.
2.Test your webcam if it would work now on chats, if not, proceed
3. Download the latest chicony web cam software on support.toshiba.com (you must select your exact model)
4.After downloading, go into programs and features on control panel and uninstall the camera software
5. Install now the downloaded camera software
6.Test your cam, it should work now

Web cam

Check the camera in the logitech software first. If it works properly there, the issue is either with your internet connection or the chat software you are using.

If it does not work properly in the logitech software as well, please download the latest software for your OS from the Logitech website
and do a clean boot/insatll as outlined here.
