Question about Amana SCRATCH&DENT 25 Cu. Ft. French Doors Refrigerator (BLACK COLOR) AFD2535DEB

Dent in refrigerator door

Brand new refrigerator side by side-Whirlpool with a small dent in one door. The dent is about the size of a dime but flat across. It is very small but very noticeable because of the reflection off the stainless steel. Is there any way to fix this?

    GE side by side with a dent about a foot down from the icemaker. Great fridge. Ugly dent! How about these people that fix dents on cars. I wonder if it is possible to pop out the dent?? Anyone do that for a living can add to this??

You may some save $ by changing just the stainless skin outside the door. GE did on mine.

Sorry only sollution to replace door ,not a cheap remedy, if it could be possible you accidently damaged it you may be covered on your house insurance. Regards Advisor

Look at the drawing part #6 is the defrost timer.
Directly below that is a hole about the size of a dime its an access to a part of the timer you can turn with a flat tip screwdriver. There is a small removable cover there so here is what to do.

Open the fridge door and look up at the bottom of the control panel.

Remove the cover if it is there.

Slowly turn the timer you will hear it click until your unit comes on you will be able to see which way it turns as it is designed in a manner that a flat tip will only turn it one way.

That should get it going for a bit you will need a new timer.

Get your refrigerator repainted before it is too late. It isn't that costly. Cracks may be due to rusting. Ask those mechanics about it when you give it for painting.

How to fix a dent in refrigerator? There is about a quarter size dent in refrigerator door in the outside. No pain is damaged? Is there is a way to **** it out flat again?
get a milk bottle,some cotton wool,some meths and some bluetac,put the bluetac around the neck of the bottle(to form a gastight seal to the door)drop meths soaked cotton wool into bottle alight,then offer bottle to door applying small amount of pressure to ensure seal when cotton goes out the vacuum should pull out the dent.slide a credit card down to brake seal.
this has worked loads of times for me.....

small dent can be retouched,retouched by a auto patty w/ hardener brand (best i use is bontite) squeeze with a pair of metal pallet use by auto painter,retouch using metal pallet gradually until dent was vanish.carefully apllied this not to scatter to a large size just on dent portion,use metal sand paper size # 600 follow up by # 1000 to have smooth surface,then spray paint gradually the same color as your unit,the color of your paint match to your refrigerator is available on auto paint supplier that mix and acquired
