I plugged my Bose companion 5 multimedia speaker to a 220volt outlet instead of 110volt. Was the unit burned totally or i will just replaced u burned part?
You will need to change entire power supply/distribution circuit since you have managed to fry it all with twice the voltage required by the system. Speakers should be OK only the circuitry needs to be rectified and too by a professional/expert technician ...........sodeep
This question is rather humorous, since I have read it 10 times describing the same issue. Sounds to me that, you need to hire and electrician to check the wiring you have done in your house. It seems you have used Phase A and B from your breaker panel to power the outlet. So, with what sodeep has stated...this is only half of your problem.

You can try teplacing just the ac adapter, you may have an old one for an answering machine or cordless phone,etc... just make sure the wattage, and voltage output,(in DC) are the same or very close. But it is just as possible 50/50 that it blew the poer invertor inside the sub, or whichever speaker the AC connects to.
