On/off problem with Sansa c240

My Sansa C240 won't power off or on. Once the battery dies...I have to use the cable to get it turned on again...then it just sleeps until I activate a button or the battery dies. Also, when I go to FM mode...it won't go 'back'...i have to take the battery out to reset it (of course, then i have to use the cable to turn it on again!) help!

Similar problem. Begins power up - then it hangs. Can't turn it off. Can't do anything other than let the battery run out.

Not charging

Try connecting directly to USB port on your computer, NOT a hub. It needs power to charge.

How to I start the c240 up it My computer doesnt

On Windows XP, when you open My Computer, the Sansa C240 shows up at the bottom, under "Other". Because of DRM restrictions, you cannot copy media files to the C240 using Windows Explorer. You have to use Windows Media Player to sync playlists to the C240 (WinAmp can do it also).
I also suggest that you check out RockBox. It's an alternative operating system for portable media players and they have a version for the Sansa C240. It will give you some additional functionality.
As far as I can tell, to copy files to the microSD card (if you're using one) you have to use a media card reader, then insert the card into the C240.

Sansa C240 freeze, wont turn on

Try a hard reset. Press and hold vol + and select for 20 seconds. If that doesnt work, you can try holding the power button for 30 seconds. Try to restart after either trial. If that doesnt work, you can call support and they can troubleshoot it for you. SanDisk Technical Support 1-866-726-3475 Best of Luck.

Sansa c240 battery issue

Does it indicate that it is fully charged? If it does, I would return it or have it replaced. You have a 1 year warranty from SanDisk. SanDisk Technical Support 1-866-726-3475 If not, try using a different USB port on the computer, preferably one in the back. Best of Luck.

PC can't find it

The USB port you are using might not have enough power. Try a USB port on the back of the computer if possible. Also try a shorter USB cable if you have one around.
