Lots of information in the link, but it looks like a Reset is just a power disconnect for a few minutes. Make sure the data line is properly connected.
It works by using a dye ribbon. My guess is that there is something in the blue ribbon feed stuck to the roller, or the paper feed. The machine is discontinued, but you could reach out to the maker.
