I have a Sears/Craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener that is approximately 15 years old (guessing it was installed when home was built in 1994). Lately, I have to constantly reset the transmitter. I know the code has been lost when I see the lighted button on the wall beginning to rapidly flash. It is no big deal to conduct a re-set, but I'm having to do this 4-5 times a week. Can you tell me what is causing this and if there is a solution outside of installing a new opener? Thanks for your help in advance.

YOU MAY HAVE A LOOSE BATTERY CONECTION IN YOUR REMOTE.
ANYTIME THE BATTERY CONNECTION IS LOST (EVEN MOMENTARILY) YOU WILL NEED TO REPROGRAM IT.
IF YOU CAN'T FIND AN OBVIOUS PROBLEM WITH THE BATTERY, I WOULD REPLACE THE REMOTE.
