Question about Canon Pixma MP500 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Can't print more than one copy at a time.

I'm unable to make more than one copy when I'm printing a document. I now have a new computer with windows vista. I did install new drivers for Vista but I'm still wondering if this printer is not compatible with vista.

It's brand new. Bought it off ebay. Got it hooked up to computer windows vista. It will print but it won't copy or scan. All I really need is the copy but it won't. it prints fine

Did you run the installation CD that came with it? That installs all the drivers, which include scan, copy and print. Vista installs generic print drivers, which is probably why you can print. On some printers, the copy and scan commands run from the printer control panel, sometimes via the installed software.

Incidentally, Vista was one of the most hated versions of Windows, only slightly in front of Windows Millenium Edition! You should try Win7, 8, or 10. They are far superior.

HP 990cx1 unable to print from Vista

The problem is definitely due to compatibility...To solve this and you want to use vista as well you will need to use dual-booting(two operating systems on the same machine)A wise choice would be a combination of XP and VIsta...This will solve the problem at least until your printer drivers for VIsta are out..

I have a problem printing coloured pdf document from a vista computer. The printer software could not fully install sighting compatibility issues ith windows vista.

Can you confirm that you are using the Windows Vista driver for this particular printer? If you are, have you tried reinstalling the printer software?

Also, can you printer regular documents or is it not working also?

Try to locate a fresher copy of the printer driver. This is available on the manufacturers website, particularly on the downloads/support section. You just have to make sure that you are downloading the correct driver for your Windows Vista OS.

Couldn't install lexmark 8300 printer software on my window vista driver computer

Follow this link to the official Lexmark website and download the driver.
http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi

If you can't follow that link, go to www.lexmark.com. On the top menu, there is a link called "Drivers and Downloads". Click it and select your series, then your OS system, and there you go.

The drivers for Vista are finally updated.

I had the same problem for about a year... now it works fine.

Updated to Windows Vista and now the Dell 922 AIO scanner won't work

For windows Vista; it is imperative to run the Vista patch which can be found on the Dell website (Downloads and drivers).
Make sure that you run the patch, after removing the printer USB cable from the computer. Restart the computer as the patch suggests and then install the Vista specific drivers, which also need to be downloaded from Dell Website.
Again, do not connect the printer unless the installation software asks you to.
For scanner issues, those who are unable to get anything scanned to their computer, and are able to print, it is essentialy a Firewall/Anti-virus issue. You can check that out by trying to scan using an application such as MSPaint (Start> type 'mspaint' > hit enter).
