Hi. In the last few days, my car makes a high pitch noise while pushing the accelerate pedal. If I hit the brake, the sound stops. Even if I am going 70 mph, if I tap the brake, it stops until i let off of the brake. Please help :)
Check the transmission oil level. That sometimes causes a whining sound.
Hope this helps.
Do you have the brakes taken apart once a year,
on all your vehicles, for rust removal, inspection,
needed work & lubing, that is required
Have to flush brake fluid every 2 years, if you
don't want moisture in the system ruining it
Don't know what the noise is,work on the
brakes & then get back to the noise, if it's
still there

Normally this kind of a problem is a fuel block...there so many other ways to block...other than the filter

you might need a stethiscope to hear where this is coming from could be a idler or maybe the tensioner or maybe the alternator .. none of these would bother power

sounds like you wheel bearings need to be greased up. Good ideal to have full grease job anyways. U-joints, tie rods, and bearing especially

The air seeping is a dead giveaway. Your power brakes are now manual brakes, but stiffer. The diaphram in the brake booster has torn and the hissing noise is the engine vacuum escaping (you hear it louder when you depress the pedal right?). Replace the booster and you will be fine. The brake lights probably don't work because you can't push the pedal down far enought to release the switch. Please rate. Thanks.
