Dishwasher We have a Kenmore Dishwasher that is about 7 years old.. it will not drain anymore. We have pulled the dishwasher apart and cleared any debris we could see, we also checked the hose for blockages... any other suggestions? What can we do?

1) It could be a gasket somewhere starting to break down. Check your door seal.
2) Food particles could have gotten caught somewhere in the drain hose, or something, and then turned black with mold and bacteria, then when you wash, they get siphoned back into the dishwasher if the flap which composes the anti-siphon check valve on the drain hose is starting to stick open.
Try putting a cup of bleach in the top rack and run a complete cycle with no other dishes in it. Then, load up some plastic dishes and wash them as normal. See if that helps. If it does, replace your check valve.
Also, insure that your drain hose is looped up above the bottom of your sink to prevent debris from your garbage disposal backing up into your dishwasher.
Hi, you will have to take apart the pump from inside and clear out the rest of the debris. This should solve the problem. If after taking the pump apart you are still having a problem then take the kick panel off and where the drain hose attaches to the washer this is a check valve. remove the drain pipe and unscrew the check valve. Clear the debris from the check valve and you will be all set. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment. Mike
If the water doesn't drain from your dishwasher, check these:
Drain line/air gap--A clog in this part is the usual
reason that a dishwasher doesn't drain. Remove the drain line to clear
any debris from the hose or hose connection at the household drain line
connection. Reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.
Pump--You can reach the pump from inside the
dishwasher. Remove the lower rack, spray arm and support. Look for an
impeller, a device that spins around and forces water through the spray
arm. This is the wash impeller and beneath it is the drain impeller
that pushes the water into the drain port. Replace it if found
defective or worn out.
Drain valve/solenoid---The drain valve may have a
solenoid with lever that sticks or frozen and prevents the dishwasher
from draining. Free up the solenoid and lubricate the lever.
Belt---A certain brand of dishwasher uses a belt to drive the pump. Replace it if broken or worn out.
Motor---Check it if turning or working.Turn the rotor
manually to see if stuck and free it up. Replace if defective, it is
not serviceable.
did you pull the bottom cover off and watch it run it could be either thesupply line developed a leak or the drain tube has done the same or in most cases with dishwashers relatively old the pump has cracked in which case the washer is trash
when you hear the motor running during the wash cycle, check to see if the washer is actually draining instead of washing. this would indicate a stuck open drain valve. (the same motor/pump that washes the dishes, also drains the unit)
check the drain connection where it connect to the sink these are bad to clog. In your case it may be a partial clog also check for any kinks in the drain line.make sure your line go above the connection point and then back down .This will stop water from flowing from the sink. You can take apart the pump usually torx screws and remove any debris. Do this last
Mine eventually "fixed itself". I think some debris got caught and eventually (5 cycles or so) got ground up and sent through the drain. The noise changed each time it got closer "flushing out"
