Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.1 and Standard Wireless Optical Mouse Installation

I have connected the transmitter and the green light has come on I have loaded the software and the installation was successful When I select both in Control Panel - each is working OK and has good transmission yet neither of them work. I am using a IBM Thinkpad Tablet Laptop and the keyboard and both the pen and the built in mouse work. I have searched for them in Bluetooth but they do not come up - it says no devices found When I go into hardware installation it says they are both installed The keyboard and mouse are both less than 2 feet from the transmitter What is it that I am missing to have them be recognised? Thanks

Can I use a new MS wireless mouse to replace my existing MS wireless mouse. Currently my mouse and keyboard connect together on the same wireless USB device. Could the new mouse be detected and be used...

I suppose there is a reset button on the keyboard or the software provided so I suppose it could be possible, I don't know.
I use a Microsoft Wired Keyboard...
But Best of luck.

My laptop won't read my wireless (but it used to) since i moved

This is sort of general but it just may help.
Make sure your batteries are in correctly.
Make sure the transmitter dongle is in the USB.
Look on the transmitter and the mouse and keyboard
itself (bottom) for a little tiny button that says connect
or reconnect. Move the mouse about six inches away from
the transmitter and press both the transmitter and the mouse.
That should reestablish the signal twixt the two.(or three KB)
