Turning the system on with water in it may have shorted out everything in the unit I'm afraid. What I would do is place the system in a *warm* area and try to let the water evaporate out of it. I have done this by placing a paper towel over a unit and then placing it by the window, the window allows the unit to warm up and the paper towel prevents sun damage and absorbs moisture. Prop the unit on it's side if you can to let excess run out of the seams. Check in on it occasionally to make sure it doesn't get TOO hot (I guess that depends on where you live really) and basically let it sit for 3 days to a week. Sadly, water trapped in electronics can be hard to get out so it will take some time. If you are still getting the same errors then there are literally a thousand places where the unit could have shorted out and it would be vitrually impossible to repair at that point. :(

By turning it on you may have shorted some of the circuits out.

Take the battery out, and put both into a container of rice. Use a container that you can put a lid on. Let these set in the rice for a few days. The rice will pull all the moisture out of the PSP. After a few days, plug the unit in to see if it works. If it does you might have to buy a new battery. But again you might get lucky.

    Use uncooked rice

Sounds like your PSP will need to be professionally repaired. If you are in warranty you could send it to the manufacturer, if not then try a place called www.videogame911.com. They do good repairs and have great prices.

Remove the battery.
Plug the PSP charger into the PSP.
Turn it on.

The PSP works with no battery inside.
If you're not getting a green light at all, your PSP has some sort of damaged as it should work while plugged in with no battery inside.

Sounds like the battery is charged fully. If you know someone else who has another psp, try putting the battery into his/hers and see if it starts up. If so, your psp may have been fried. There is not much you can do.

Psp fell ,turn psp on.green light turns on.screen stays off

Hi first i will say sorry for that. I will recommend that you see a certified technician to fix it up, there are a few things i guess are wrong with your psp... the system of psp are fragile and should be handled with care because i think one or more parts are broken and need replacement. Cheers

My PSP wont read my battery

Try putting it in a bag of rice for a day or so, because rice absorbs moisture, so it might draw out any water still inside. Hope this helps.

About my psp problem

This is most commonly down to corrupted firmware. This problem is usually referred to as a "Bricked" PSP as it leaves the unit useless.
If you PSP is still under warranty contact your local SONY dealer and they will arrange repair. If not DONT PANIC!

There are a number of people on the web now offering a PSP unbricking service.

Or for the more technically minded of you there is plenty of information available on the web about doing this yourself wit the use of a "Pandorra" battery.

Just Google PSP pandorra battery.

Gee I wonder why. Just take the battery out and let both the PSP and the battery dry out for a few days.
