I'd start by checking the relay that controls the motor first. Put a meter on it and verify that the high speed terminal is getting voltage. If not, it is the relay or something other than the motor. If the high speed terminal is getting voltage but not kicking on, a fix is possible, but you may want to weigh that against the price of a new motor.

I am looking for a parts diagram for an A.O. Smith pool pump motor SP3220Z1BE.

The motor is made by A.O. Smith in Tippton, OH. You can try calling them, and with any luck you may get a kind soul that can get you a splsh sheild. It is probably not a part you can purchase from a distributor, but that is an option you can also pursue. Good luck.

High Ringing Noise

Sounds like it just needs lubricating. It's probably dry seals rubbing against the stainless shaft.

Bad bearings usually make grinding noises. Replacing bearings can be a DIY job, but not a teriffically simple one.
