Replaced Washer Timer

I replace my Whirlpool washer's timer, based on the trouble shooting information received on the internet; however, washer still fills with water, starts washing for about 5-6 minutes and stops. I not sure why it stops and the new timer has not fixed the problem.

Make sure the machine is not in 'soak' cycle. If it is, just give it time to continue.

Whirlpool top load washer won't advance through cycles

A small motor that rotates the timer has gone bad. Common practice is to replace the timer. Usually a mechanical timer of this type is less expensive than a computerized timer.

I receive a UL code on my Cabrio and it the clothes are very wet after spin cycle...

The ul error code means unbalanced load.If the load in the drier is much more than it can take, the system will not perform its operation. I can suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good trouble shooting and repair information on washing machines and other appliances. I think you'll find what you need there. Don't worry about the timer, they hardly ever go bad.
thanks for rating good luck

Whirlpool Washer model # LSN1000KQ0 overfilling

did you plug the hose back into the water level switch, double check to see if it is plugged, if it is your water level switch might be defective. trouble shoot by taking the front panel off... turn on the washer by using the timer, set water level to small...on the bottom of the tub housing there should be a nipple where the clear hose connects onto.....follow the clear hose from the switch down to the bottom of the tub.........disconnect the clear hose on the bottom of the tub.....plugg the nipple with your finger.........gently blow into the hose with your mouth.......but make sure the water level in the tub is at least at half way full...and the washer is on and filling up with water ...after you blow into the hose the washer should agitate.......if it does agitate your water level switch is defective...connect hose back........get your model number and source for the switch.........

Washer quits be for the spin cycle code pops up fo2 model # ghw9150pw4

I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. Therefore the washer ID doesn't mean
anything to me. It's been about 55 years since I had experience with front load washers. However I can refer you to Applianceaid.com where they have very good and complete trouble shooting and repair information on front loaders. I think you'll find what you need there. Don't worry about the timer, they hardly ever go bad. Good luck with it.

How do you remove the timer on a Whirlpool washer

Hello,
You have to unscrew the knob and remove the screws that are under it, some have just a center nut with a locating tab that goes into a hole to hold it straight.

Whirlpool mod#LLR6144AQO electrical issue

If you have power at the console where the power cord connector connects to the harness then make sure all wire harness connections to the timer are tight. If so, then something must have happened to the timer as nothing else will keep the machine dead in fill and spin.
