Torque settings on 2006 street glide

I am changing the pipes on my 2006 street glide and need to remove the trans and clutch covers to access the mounting bracket for the exhaust. Does anyone know what the torque settings are for the bolts that hold these covers on?

Thanks

Rick

Removal of an 06 ultra classic trans

This removal requires some special tools and a manual. First remove the negative battery cable.Drain and remove primary cover. Remove the shift shaft from the housing.Remove the primary drive. The clutch nut has left-hand threads so righty loosey. Remove the small screw on the end of the starter gear shaft. Remove the screws holding the inner primary housing. Now on the right side. Remove the exhaust. Remove the two screws holding the starter motor to the trans housing. Inner primary will now come off. There is a race that is pressed onto the mainshaft that requires a special puller to remove. Drain trans fluid. Remove trans side cover, the one with the clutch cable. Remove the trans top cover. Remove the shifter drum. Remove the shift fork shaft through the right side of the trans bearing door. Remove the shift forks through the top off the trans housing noting location. Remove the screws that hold the bearing door to the case. There are a couple of pry points that you would use to separate the door from the case. Should come on out after all that.

How do i change my clutch and plates

Harley changed their clutch in 1998 and I don't think they've changed it since. To change the plates in your clutch:

First, disconnect your battery, Remove the floorboard on the primary side and drain the oil out of the primary. Remove the outer primary cover. Remove the six screws in the clutch assembly and remove the clutch plates and steel plates. Soak your new clutch plates in oil overnight. Replace the old parts with the new parts in the exact same order. Rinstall the bolts using Loctite 242 (medium strength blue) and torque the bolts to about 20 foot pounds. Adjust the clutch according to factory specs and reinstall the outer primary cover. Add oil and reconnect the battery. Put the floor board back on and you're ready to ride.

Ride Safe.

How to change tranny fluid on a 08 street glide

No offense, but you really need a service manual to learn which drain plug to remove to change the Trans fluid, there are three under there, two for oil and Transoil change the other is to be left alone. AFAIK, things change from model year to model year.
