No hardware installation

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken . If not detected please contact service.

Connect the printer to your system using the USB cable, power on the printer the power on your computer. when the computer is fully booted and you login, the system should automatically detect the printer as a new hardware. Insert the CD that came with the printer into your systems CD-ROM drive and install the printer driver following the instruction on the screen.

when you hook up your printer to your pc via USB...can the computer detect your printer? does it prompt out any msg such as new device is installed and ready to use or did it ask you to install the printer driver?
if your pc can't detect your printer, replace the USB cable and try again.. and try to plug into a different USB port on your pc.. and if all fails, then most probably your printer main board is faulty...

you may want to try switch to a next usb port or replace the usb cable. it just seems more like your pc is not getting the correct reading from the usb connection.

try to reinstall the driver again once you swap the usb cable to other port.

test by switching your printer on and off again to see if the same error pop up saying new hardware detected. if it does happen again. uninstall the driver & download it from www.samsung.com

Please change the USB cable and plug it to another USB Port on your computer and restart the computer.

Make sure that printer is ON while re-starting computer.

How the printer is connected to PC Via USB or using Network Cable. If it is connected Netwrok cable than printer configuration page and on netwrok configuration there will be IP Address if this is valid IP Address than reinstall drivers and upgrade the Firmware of the printer.

If Printer is connected USB than try different USB Cable and try different USB Port on the computer
If USB port on the computer is working fine and check in Device Manager if the printer has detected as unknown device or not detected at all.
If detected as unknown device than reinstall printer driver if not detected at all than USB Port on the printer is faulty you need to set up hardware repair of the printer.

Connect the usb cable at the back of tower and turn on printer.. If printer software and driver is not installed than insert the disc and install it.

Try each of the USB ports on your computer.

Assuming that you have a USB-cable between the computer and the printer, unplug the USB-cable from the computer, and connect some other USB device (iPod or memory-stick). Does Windows detect that other device? If not, then you need to install the correct software device-drivers for your USB ports.

Is the printer properly detected when connected to some other laptop/desktop computer?

Try universal printer drivers and i m sure it will work.
Try to download and install the drivers from the link mentioned below

Did you check after installing the printer that you have the printer in 'installed printers' in 'control panel'?
Your printer may have been there, but not set as default printer.
Did you also notice a message popping up first time you connected the printer to usb saying new hardware detected?
Try to install and connect the printer on a different computer ( a laptop will be fine), intalling software first as usual.
If it works is either usb channels on original computer or a windows problem.

If Windows does not see the device when you connect usb (ensure cable is ok) to different computer, and you are sure you are doing everything ok, then it is probably usb printer socket that is faulty.
If Windows see that there is a new device detected, but it cannot install printer, even after doing disk setup procedure fine, then there is an issue either with the printer or with the drivers you are using (they may be for a different operative system for example).

An hardware problem of this kind is rather unfrequent, particularly on a new printer. Check that you are doing everything fine, that the printer is not in installed printer, even if not default one, and that you are using the right setup disk, and that this is performing the whole setup procedure.
