Winches are out in the worst weather so before I looked at a wiring diagram I would be checking the condition of all the terminals for clean and tight. Next check the charge rate and condition of the battery driving the winch even having a load test done on that battery to see if all the cells are ok as when the solenoid clicks but no more the results are the same as a bad battery in the car.

My warn vantage 3000 will not spool in. solenoid clicks but motor does not turn. winch operates on out. use for snowplow, only a month old

If motor runs in one direction motor is not burned out.
Solenoid clicks, solenoid is ok.
Most likely points on solenoid on one side. If you can get to it, then look at the points.
To check , reverse battery terminals then click. the reverse should work and the other not. This will prove the points are bad on one side. .
In that case, you have to take it apart put in new points or get new switch.

Was installing a winch on my 2009 prowler 700 xtx hooked positive cable to selanoid winch did not work, hooked direct to battery, works, rig wont start

Where did you ground the winch motor? You need a separate, heavy duty, switch with a relay to transfer the positive side voltage properly... DO NOT ground to the battery..use a clean, free of paint, place to ground. You may have fried the solenoid..do not connect the positive side to the solenoid. Direct connection to the + battery from the relay is good with a good waterproof fuse in line. Sometimes I have seen the "maint. free" batteries die when used "wrong" and still show 13 volts+.

Irrigation valve parts diagram

Most likely cause is small bit of contaminant (TFE tape, etc.) is caught in the seat area, or possibly (if electrically actuated) the solenoid is not working properly.

Tmax winch no power

The winch has electric solenoids to control the motor. Most of the time when these things quit working, it is either because the solenoid has failed or the wire connections to the solenoids has come loose.

How would I get a manual for a 10,000 lb Champion winch

Hello,

Navigate to the Champion website using this link

http://www.championpowerequipment.com/truck.php

Scroll to the bottom of the page and select your winch model (there are five different 10,000 pound winches to choose from). From there you can download the manual in PDF form.

Hope you found this helpful.

I have a Champion 8000 lb. winch. It was working great and then just stopped. When I hit the control button for it to pull in I hear a click but the motor does not turn to bring in the cable. When I hit...

It's most likely your selinoids it probably has 4, 2 for in and 2 for out. (If it's anything like the warn 8000) and it could be just 1 of each or both of each. I was told by warn to change one out at a time to find the bad ones.

My winch won't work anymore...there is a clicking noise and winch wont turn....I check the connection and its good.

Take your voltmeter and verify your voltage at the switch. If it is 11.5 or better, try reversing the motor. Reverse direction requires less ampreage to run and should work fine, then try forward or wind.
