The only option my Canon MX310 has is to scan documents and save as a .pdf file but I would like the documents to be saved as a .doc file so that I can edit using MS Word, since I am familiar with MS Word. Is there a way I could save my documents to MS Word? Is so, please provide with a detailed, step-by-step instructions as Canon MX310 is a new printer that I am not used to using. Thank you so much.
You can try it by using the scanner option on the control panel. If you are using windows operating system, go on start menu, select control panel and double click scanners & cameras. Double click the scanner online and start scanning the documents. Save it in the format you want but it is usually default as jpeg.
scanned documents usually saved as .pdf file if you run the scan option directly on the printer. By pressing the SCAN button the printer. So do not use this option if you do not want the documents to be saved as pdf files.
