Can you still play the game ok? If the game you are trying to play wont start up, then the disk could be damaged. If it is downloaded content, then the file could be corrupt and require a more stable connection to install.You may have to delete everything about the said game including offline files to reinstall. Most likely you are going to need to buy an external hard drive enclosure. Take out the hard drive put it in the hard drive enclosure then in windows format the drive with fat32 format. This should solve your problem, if not you may need a new drive. Thank you, Lee

If you aren't wiling to pay the servicing fee becasuse you've had it over a year or you didn't keep your reciept, then go ahead and either buy a new one, or go to xbox. issues like this happen with any kind of machinery that uses a disc drive.
you have or someone has been playing with the system files as i am not a big expert on ps3s i can not offer much help but what you could try is logging on to the play station website and find a way of getting in contact as some system files are missing. Hope this helps...
