I replaced C cartridge only. Now the printer says the cartridge has already been used and to replace it. Does not allow me to go through maintenance options like nozzle cleaning or alignment. I can on the printer itself. Any ideas?
I had this problem: I took out a cartridg to physically clean it, and when I replaced it it said "the ink level cannot be determined, etc, press OK to continue without this function. Use only genuine Canon cartridges, etc"
I kept clicking OK to the dialogue box, and it just reappeared. Then I pressed the OK button ON THE PRINTER which allowed me to continue using the cartridge but without an ink level indication which is fine by me: at least you can drain the cartridge unlike the latest Epsons.

Did you uninstall and reinstall the program? Sometimes the program driver needs to be updated.

I replaced both inks and it will not do anything. This is the second time, the first time I used cheap refills. Ive had other cannon printers with no problem, but this is costing to much.
Put in new Color Cartridge, now printer says Check ink C P U051
I have reset the ink level indicator for my Canon1800 by holding down the 2nd button for 6 to 10 seconds until the yellow light stops blinking and the green one begins then repeating this for the second refilled ink cartridge but I have not found a solution for the ip6210d. Do you know how to disable the ink level indicator thus allowing refilled cartridges to be used?
