Lcd touch screen buttons don't work

It sounds like you need your touchscreen replaced. The touchscreen is soldered to the LCD display, so the touchscreen must be unsoldered from the LCD display and a new touchscreen resoldered to the LCD display. Please do not attempt to do this yourself. You can easily damage the LCD display in the process. More information about touchscreen replacement can be found here:

If the touch screen of the Camcorder is not working, please follow the troubleshooting steps.

Please make sure that you're using fully charged batteries.

Turn off the Camcorder and turn ON again and check the operation.

Try resetting the Camcorder by pressing the reset button behind the LCD panel.

If the issue persists again, please perform LCD screen Calibration and check if that helps.

Please follow the steps below to perform the LCD Calibration

Perform a power resetting of the Camcorder. To perform power resetting, please remove the battery pack, turn the Power switch to Play/EDIT/ON for more than 15 seconds, turn the Power switch to OFF position and then reinsert the battery pack.

If the issue persists even after performing all the above-mentioned steps, service is required.

When touch switches become nonworking then mostly its cause of connecting flexible ribbon wires between LCD board and camcorder main board that got cracked so touch buttons signal does not go to camcorder system control. Need to replace that flexible wire by qualified camera tech.

Very rare cases I found touch buttons layer that is pasted and part of LCD becomes defective, do you see hard or deep scratch on LCD surface? if yes, then LCD screen will be replaced because touch button array is damaged.

Try playing with the lense I had the same problem. I would turn it on and the screen was frozen, the three beeps then it turned off. I played with the lense since it was sticking out and I tried turning it on again and it worked. :]
