I've had this for three years with not a single problem.I turned on yesterday and found that when set to play/edit mode the buttons on the touchscreen don't work.In the manual it says I should calibrate it and I followed all the steps exactly as the manual said but it didn't work. It might help if the manual said what happens after you touch the cross on the screen when calibrating, all that happens is the cross moves to one of three positions, it doesn't say what you're supposed to do after the cross has moved. I would rather avoid taking it for repair if there's anything I can do to get it working myself.
The flexwire is the problem of your camera and if all wiring will be cut the next stage of problem is the lcd monitor would not turn on...go to a service center for replacing or repairing the flexwire...is not easy for repairing that if you are not a technician that wiring is like a strand of hair that why is difficult to fix but in our shop we modified that and become more durable than the original...

I didn't say the LCD screen doesn't turn on. The camera fixed itself after I just left it for 24 hours,I wonder how much your shop would have charged for that.
i have the same problem only worse! the calibration of the screen won't start either!
