I bought a sony bravia KDL - 40WL140 from USA to India. Its output is in NTSC. But India supports only PAL output. I used a NTSC-PAL converter. The TV worked, but picture quality suffered due to insufficient output signal. There was also lot of jump in picture. I nderstand that the converter converts NTSC 3.58 to PAL. But looks like my TV has output NTSC 4.43. Is there a converter to convert to NTSC 4.43? Can the TV be tuned to output in PAL? Pls help.
While a modern PAL TV can display NTSC sources (namely DVD players and PAL VHS players that support pseudo-NTSC), an NTSC TV can not display a PAL source, unless it's an expensive multi-standard TV. Sorry pal, bad choice.
