The wire coming from the switch if it has one will go to pin 2 as it is hot(+ve). Pin 3 is cold (-ve) and pin 1 is gound/shield which will make contact when the XLR connector is mounted back in the mike secured with the set screw. There should be a small hole in the side of the base of the mike that the set screw lines up with. Usind the correct size of flat bladed screw driver, back this screw out counter clockwise to secure the connector. If that is wrong, get back to me and i will hunt up my Shure wiring diagrams. If pin 2 and 3 are backwards the mike will be out of phase. Hope this helps.

Trouble with three SM57 having low volume unless directly on sound source

It is unlikely there is anything wrong wit the mics. The SM57 is very simple. Literally just a magnet and coil of wire. The problem that you describe is likely caused by your mixer, the presonus, etc.

3 wires inside are detached. I do not know which is which. Help

See the SM57 User Guide. The User Guide will probably show only two wires. The third wire was used on older mics and connects to the center ground lug of the cartridge.

You can disconnect the cartridge from the handle and try temporarily connecting the cartridge to pins 2 and 3 of a mixer input.

All of the wiring has come off of the terminals

If you want to repair yourself, the wiring diagram is in the User Guide on the Shure website. Otherwise send the mic to Shure for repairs.

Shure SM57 - 3 wires:blue, red, black. Which color goes to which pin?

You need a multimeter to check this.
The black wire is customarily ground and should go to the pin that measures a dead short to the metallic case of the mike. The red and blue wires are connected to the secondary of a balanced transformer and can be interchanged with no problem.
You can get a line drawing of the mike connector correctly identified in the user guide and that can be downloaded here:

Beta 52 not working, need wiring solution

Normally the the black wire is connected to pin 1, the white wire is connected to pin 3 and the red is connected to pin 2. Sometimes the wires on pin 2 and 3 are reversed so try it both ways.

Sm57 microphone not working

Unfortunately you will have to get it serviced. When you drop a mike usually two things happen. One you actually distort the magnetic field in the magnet inside or two you break the winding in the coil which is mounted on the diaphagm. 57s are sturdy mikes but some things can still destroy them.

Shure SM2 Headset/Mic wiring

Headset connection: Blue wire to Pin 2, White wire to Pin 1, Yellow wire to Pin 3. Connect Pins 1 & 2.
Microphone connection: Black wire to Pin 3. Red wire to Pin 2. Ground wire to Pin 1.
I am using a male/female 7-pin XLR connector assembly to black box. I am using two 3-pin XLR connectors, one for SM2 microphone function, one for SM2 headset function.

Shure SM57 Wire broken off

On the XLR end, you should see a small screw hole. This screw is reverse threaded. In other words to make it go into the mic, you need to turn it counter-clockwise. Once that screw is inside the shaft, the XLR connector should come out. You may need to pull it out using needle-nose pliers. Pull carefully so you don't break the wires.
