Question about Lexmark JetPrinter X1185 All-In-One InkJet
You have two issues at same time. 1: your printer may have a jam somewhwere. remove all paper, and open unit cover, and see if you can find any bits of paper jammed, remember they can be minute and will still cause big problems. check thoroughly behind unit too, sometimes it helps to use a torch. When you put paper back in, only place a very thin stack, too much will cause feed problems and jams. Make sure paper rest is correctly installed too, and the paper guides either side are not pressing too tight on paper stack sides, they should sit gently beside in line with it not pressuring it. Also check if roller is even, inside and down back. Flick paper stack in fingers to separate pages and never feed bent dogeared or marked paper into unit, even a tiny little notch in it will catch. Try printing now. The scanner issue can usually be resoved by uninstalling the whole printer and reinstalling it, ensuring a thorough reset. Good luck and post back if no help.
