Press the Mode button (M) and the display will flash mode. Then hold the select button (SEL) until it changes to display something else. Hit left and right seek until you find clock M and clock H. Hit select again and use the volume button to change the time! Took me two freaking hours to figure that **** out.
Hold the SEL button down for more than 3 seconds. A sub menu appears. Use the track select arrow key to select the hours, rotate the volume knob to correct hour. Press track select key to select minutes, rotate volume to appropriate minute. press select again to finish. If this doesn't help, go to jvc.com, then go to support, then user manuals, enter model number. You can dowload the entire manual for free. Good luck
first check that the subwoofer function on the actual head unit is turned up,second check that the gain on the amp is at bout half way then check that it is on a lp (low pass setting)
then check that the boost on the amp is turned up.

I forget about the security light but I do know about the clock. I believe you turn the deck off and hold display or push display and the clock will come up. Then use the preset buttons for adjustment. I think 1/2 is for the hour and 3/4 are for the minute. It has been a while for me doing this but I think it is right. I just powered mine back up a while back and am trying to find my starting cd. You wouldn't happen to know how to reset this function and start over?
