make sure your backup lights are coming on. if the backup lights are working when in reverse then most likely you have a bad camera or loose connection. also may want to check for power to the camera ( fuses/circut).
Probably not the main relay. You either have a bad battery, bad battery connection, bad fuse, or bad ECU. If the lights on the dash don't come on, that's not good. See if your lights work on the car...that should let you know if you are at least getting power. Then check the fuse to the ECU. If everything checks out, you probably have a bad ECU.
it proably is your neutrual safety switch. it controls your backup lights. the same thing happened to mine. then mine would not start anymore after a while. It can be removed and cleaned.
There are only 2 things to check other than the bulbs, 1st the back up lite fuse, and the 2nd the back up light switch on the trans, if the fuse is ok replace the backup light switch.
Yes it screws in on right side of tramission and you will need a 7/8 inch deep socket to remove it. You may be able to clean the old one once it is removed. There is a little ball thatgets dirty and may you can get by with cleaning it. Good Luck. Ed
