The "Er dH," also known as the Defrost Heater Error message, is displayed when the unit fails to reach 46? F within 2 hours of beginning its defrost cycle. This may be an indication of the defrost heater having broken or the temperature fuse having been pulled out of its slot. Contact customer service if the problem persists after having attempted a system reset.
Quick Fix
Unplug the refrigerator for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Doing this will reset all the codes. Sometimes an error appears by fault. If it does not appear again after restarting, then the refrigerator is fine. If the code appears again, then there is a problem with the defroster.
Defroster Problem
The error code itself means that the defroster mode has failed. This means that the defrost mechanism cannot reach 46 degrees Fahrenheit within two hours to defrost ice in the freezer properly. Unplug the refrigerator and move all the items that can spoil into a backup fridge or freezer.
Repair
Look in the back top of the freezer. Use a screwdriver to remove the ice maker machine that blocks the back defrost panel. Remove the two side screws and pull away the plastic cover guard. Check the wire. If it is unplugged, then secure it to see if that is the problem. If the plug is connected, then remove it to check for more problems. Look for any faulted wires on the defroster. If it appears that the wires are fine, you need to replace the defroster panel. Contact your local LG dealer for the specific part number

ER dh means you have defrost issue that needs to be addressed asap. The evaporator has frosted up so badly that the circulating cold air cannot get to the refrigerator. You would need to get inside the freezer back panel and remove it to access into the evaporator coil area. Test the defrost circuits to see if the defrost terminator is broken. If it is, replace it and melt the ice build up as well.
Good luck
This is a refrigerator manufactured by LG and is well known for this type of malfunction. There should be two 1/4 inch screws on the outside of the freezer drawer tracks near the front that will allow you to pull out the entire door assembly. Once this is done and the unit is fully defrosted and unplugged, there are a couple/few screws in the back freezer panel. Once the panel is removed, this part is located on the upper right side of the evaperator coils. It is sometimes wedged in tigtly but should pull out with a good tug. Unplug the white harness, remove defective part and reverse this process. Good luck and happy shopping for the shoes.
ER in temp means error code next 2 letters are first letter of part giving problem or where problem located.. if " ER DH" means def heater not coming on, does not mean heater bad but def control bad not letting voltage to heater. could need main bd also
er ff means that the control board is not sensing evap fan motor operation this means either a bad fan motor ice in the fan motor or bad control board. you can verify fan operation by opening freezer door and feeling for old air blowing from back of freezer compartment. you will have to push in the light switch to get fan operation.
for corndo that has same problem you actually have a different problem. er dh means the control board is not sensing defrost heater operation. the most common culprit is a bad defrost sensor. message me back if you need instructions for trouble shooting..thx peyton
Hi. You have an Error Defrost Heater. Its taking too long for the heater sensor to open the circuit during defrost. You normally replace the heater, heater sensor and circuit board(motherboard) located on the back of the refrigerator in this situation. Check your mollex plugs and make sure they are connected tightly at the evaporator coil area. Sometimes they come loose. I reccommend replacing the heater and heater sensor located top right on the evaporator coil. This should take care of the problem. Need parts see me on ebay as user, themackshack. Good luck, Mack
