MP3 Player Matsui MAT 105MR Problem

I just replaced the battery on this MP3 player and all it does now is flash MATSUI in the window when I turn it on - any ideas please??

Nothing seems to appear on my matsui mat 105mr player.
The system sees it as player recovery device device in the device manager.
When i try to update/upgrade the firmware, i get this error message - unable to write firmware data.
Anybody has an idea of how to fix this problem?

If your Matsui is working suggest you leave well alone -- I've been looking for utilities (new firmware, reflash utility and firmware extractor) and it's all very confusing.

Apart from the ghastly menu system the only problem I've had with mine £8 ($16 used from a flea market) is that Win XP's data write-behind feature means that XP merrily suggests that file transfers are complete when the player is still digesting the files. If you interrupt this by mistake XP stops responding or complains that data has been lost.

after deleting all files new music cannot be added and the display says "no file". Is there a reset mwthod ?

1) Disconnect from computer, turn it off, hold in volume + button and reconnect it to your computer - continue holding volume + until the Found Hardware Wizard comes up.

REFORMAT FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER - Erases Everything: Connect your iLo player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "ILO 2GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything, and give you a fresh start.

Matsui MAT 140 MR wont turn on

If you can check the rechargeable batteries try that. If you plug it into a wall socket with the adapter and nothing happens you might have other major problems. Just a little education: when you buy something especially from other countries alway check it before leaving to make sure it works. Unless there is a company that you can send the warranty unit to you may be out of luck. Sorry.
