Oven Heat I have a Kenmore 911.93402991 model electric oven/range. The oven heats to desired temps but wont shut down after oven knob has been turned to OFF. Have to shut off circuit breaker to shut off oven. Rest of stove is OK functionally. What's happen'in? Thanks, AL

The temperature sensor in the oven needs to be replaced. Here is the part to order. As far as the top element, lift the top up and look for lose or broken wires on the element. Keep me posted.

Fan in range continues to run after oven is cold.

Is oven COLD, or still cooling down after you shut it off? If the latter, some ovens do that, untill they reach a pre-determined temp THEN shut off. They are made that way dissapate the heat.

That is what the oven elements are suppose to do. When it gets to temp the thermostat cuts the elements off and as it cools they will heat back up. if it cuts off and wont heat back up its probably the thermostat

Kenmore electric range - oven temp low and takes forever to heat

if lower element tests open with continuity meter then it for sure is bad. i would also check the wire ends that connect to the element and/or the control board, they could have loosened allowing a bad connection and low voltage to elementor burnt off.. most ovens do not use the broil element at all during the bake cycle, only during the broil cycle.. some however do utilize the broil element during baking, but at a lower wattage or something..

i believe this oven was designed to reach a set temp and then interm shutdown to keep that set temp..If oven elements turn back on when temp is raised higher than previous temp ..then there is a good chance its working properly.this is a saftey feature to keep elements on stove from overheating..

Kenmore gas range--oven won't come on

My oven will not work. After pressing the desired temp on the oven, the preheat light and oven light comes on. After about 15 minutes, the oven is slightly warm and maybe an hour later the oven may or may not heat to desired temp. Kenmore gas range model #790.72851301.
