SOURCE: Did you ever receive firmware update for your Panasonic DVD Recorder?

Yes, they sent me the firmware update, but the dvd recorder couldn't even read that. So I've never done anything further for it. I've just been using my old dvd player. I figured they would tell me they couldn't do anything else and to get it fixed myself.

SOURCE: Yamaha DVD S540 stops playing at 1H:15M.

Hi,

Its abnormal for every Disk to stop playing after every 1H:15M.

I believe there is a setting on your DVD player that need to be adjusted.

Check the Timer settings on your DVD. You could also check that of the TV.

The fault is not from the lens. If it was from the lens, the disk would not play in the first place or it would crack.

So check the timer settings thoroughly.

Take care.

Intermittent disc recognition failure

You seemed to have done almost everything we would have recomended except to unplug unit for several hours and then retry. If that dosent work I think you may have a laser or servo problem and these types of repairs, im afraid can not be done without special tools and equipment.
