You can change the programmed numbers by simply programming new numbers on the saved position. Press the MENU/SET button and select FAX \ Setup Quick Dial and then choose whether you want to program a speed dial or a one touch button. If you had previously programmed a 1 touch on button 3, just select that 1-touch and it will ask you if you wish to change the current settings.
You need to reset the memory, since previously you have dialed some number, which is not able to connect. So restart the printer. Unplug the printer for 10 minutes and plug back the power to the printer.
Hi Suzeo. Many HP fax machines have the function you are requesting. It is called the broadcast fax feature. Look in your owner manual for this feature. If I knew which model you have I would have researched it for you. IF by chance, your machine does not have this feature, it would be money well spent to replace your current machine with one that does. Depending on how many pages the daily fax is, I am estimating that you are spending an hour or more each day on this task. J.
Unplug the phone line from the machine. Wait a few minutes then try calling your fax number from a phone while leaving the phone line disconnected from the machine. If it rings fine from the phone, then re-install the phone line to the fax machine. Try making the call again. If you now get a busy signal then the modem in your fax machine has gone bad and is holding the line open. Make sure when installing the phone line you are placing the cord into the "line" port on the machine and not the phone port.
Good Luck and thank you for using Fixya.
