may i ask why are you replacing the hinge? the door is in two halves and held together by a few large screws, once you remove the screws you will need to put a flat blade screw driver in between the two halves of the door and pry it open, theres a heap of tiny clips that hold the two pieces together, it will be quite hard and may make a loud crack when you pop it open, dont worry you wont break anything.
The door handle can easily be replaced on MOST microwave ovens by removing the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. The following link explains how to access and replace the door handle:
The average cost for a replacement handle (if required) usually runs about $20 - $40. Replacements may be purchased at the websites listed in the link I provided. Several of these sites also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with parts identification and how disasemble/reassemble your appliance. A replacement part number for the model you have listed is 8169738.
The door handle is a simple repair that can be done with the door in place, or with the door removed. You do not have to uninstall the oven if this is an over the range model.
NOTE: If you wish to remove the door, all you need to do on most models is open the door all the way and lift straight up at the hinges. You may have to remove the grille cover located above the door on some models to accommodate being able to lift the door.
If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.
May need to take the face of the washer off so you can see inside and re-align the locking tab qwhich has problem fallen off track, or amybe need to replace the solenoid
Step1:
First, unscrew the 7 screws holding on the door panel
Step2:
Next you carefully pry off the tweeter cover that is where the mirror is.Lift the panel up and off of the door . Undo all of the wiring connections except for the window controller.
Step3:
Open the 2 black rubber view ports (Circled in Yellow) and roll the window up or down until you see the 10mm bolts that hold the window in place.
Step4:
Loosen, but don’t remove these bolts. Slide the window up, and tape it up, or remove the window and set aside. Next, unplug the door lock plug and move the door panel out of the way.Unscrew the gold 10mm bolts that hold on the metal inner door panel . Also remove the Phillips screw that holds the inner door handle on
Step5:
Unscrew the small bolt that holds on the lock cylinder that is behind the quarter-sized black cap on the side of the door. Be careful with that little bolt or it will fall into never land .Pull the lock cylinder out and set aside.
Step6:
Now grasp the door handle, and with your free hand smack your hand holding the handle towards the back of the car. This will release the door handle.Under the door handle is a Phillips screw. Loosen this screw a few turns but don’t remove.
Step7:
Now undo the 3 black star shaped screws on the door lock. You can now wiggle the inside of the door handle until it comes free. See the tabs that hold it onto the door . When you go to put it back on be sure the tabs get back in the right place.Pull the whole inner door panel and lock mechanism free by wiggling it out of where it sits.
Step8:
Now you can undo the 3 cables; 1 from the outer door handle yellow mechanism, 1 from the inner door handle mechanism, and 1 from the inner door lock lever.Put on the new lock and put it all back together.
Be sure to test it as you go. I had to turn the lock cable to the inner door lock lever 180 degrees because it was not unlocking properly when I put it back together the first time.
A couple of other notes, there are 2 pieces of plastic that are for the robots to use when putting the door together for the first time. one is a 3 pronged white plastic thing riveted to the inside of the metal door panel. The other is a white plastic thing covering the lock mechanism. You can cut off the fingers and throw the plastic cover away they are both
useless and in the way. When you put it all back together, just go in the opposite order of disassembly. It is a little tricky to get the yellow plastic outer door handle holder into place. Be sure that the little tabs grab the metal of the door or things will not fit together properly.Be sure to test the power window after you put the window back in place. Do not overtighten the bolts on the window, it is glass…..
You will have to cut the rivet holding the lock solenoid, you will need to move the solenoid around to un-hook it from the rod.Be careful because the part the rod hooks to is plastic and i already broke mine on my 1994 Bronco.while replacing the latch, consider replacing the cable for the inside handle-they stretch and makes you pull harder on the handle until it breaks the handle off.I got tired of replacing the plastic handle so i made one out of steel at my work.
I have never replaced a handle on a microwave. I was looking at mine. If I have to guess how to get to the screw behind the panel, I would guess the inside cover needs to be popped out. Now a day, all the covers are snapped together. Be careful not to break it. Or look for your manual, or look it up on the web. Good luck
Remove two screws on top at front in order to remove plastic front vent
grill. Then the door lifts off pin hinges. Lay door flat on surface.
Plastic trim snaps off with gentle prying (start at bottom middle and
bottom hinge side). Then remove six screws holding notched metal
section with door latch. This piece will also snap out (several visible
clips holding it around edges). Then remove door handle screws, Replace
handle and reverse process to put back together.
On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to
get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel
and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and
disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
there is a metal bar inside that clips into the handle they come off all the time there is a plastic clip that hold the 2 together it most likely has fallen off and into the bottom of the door you can put it back together easily if clip cannot be found you can buy them at local parts store for a couple bucks..hope this helps
