Question about Nokia 6233 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

My 6233 was working fine , but last week its speaker started to play up.

The top row of the phone displayes a handsfree icon even though bluetooth is of and no cable one in. and i never even set up my hands free with this phone. When i call comes in i hear onew ring then it cuts it of as if i pressed the red button eventhough it is on the table. The only time i can talk on it is if speakerphone is used.

Its seems that the phone is stack on headset status profile. Enter into the profiles setup. and set you phone to be in general profile. It should fix the problem.

Remote speakers don't work

Dear User,

Are you referring to playing music from another device (mobile phone) into the speakers of your laptop or vice versa?

Is yes then you must first switch on the Bluetooth on your laptop as well as mobile, if playing from phone you send to use the option play via Bluetooth in the phone, simultaneously accept the pop up options as yes on the PC to enable the wireless play.

If playing from PC to wireless speakers of mobile then right click on the on the bluetooth icon near the system date, select quick connect>> hand free audio/stereo audio/audio gateway as applicable>> find devices in range and select to play, also simultaneously accept any notifications if displayed on the phone.

How do you connect a vivid bluetooth handsfree speaker to a mobile phone. I have lost the instructions.

Hope this late reply is still helpful. Press and hold the ON button for at lease 6 seconds until the LCD flashes red and blue alternately, then follow your phone's instructions. The passkey is 000.

Same exact problem- music player works fine with headphones

If you had a bluetooth device connected and it did not disconnect properly then the phone may be trying to play the sounds to the bluetooth and not the speaker, Turn the phone's bluetooth off and then on and it should work. Also, if you look at a sound file or video file it will show the bluetooth symbol next to it, which means that it is playing to bluetooth and not the phones other outputs.
