had the same problem with x1240 but I have found a sight that will let you download the drivers for your windows operating systems. Hope this helps.

Go to driverguide.com.. and download 1200 series drivers.. they may work

There isn't one. This printer is only supported in Windows 2000 and later. You could probably get the 2000 driver to work on NT, but not on 95/98/ME architecture. And as Lexmark has stated they don't intend to support ME with this printer, I think you're out of luck.

Problems installing windows server 2000

Hello,

Make sure the hardware is compatiable with Server 2000. Most of the time you will run into a stale if hardware is not compatiable or windows does not have a compatiable driver for those devieces. If you have the drivers for your hardware, install those at the begining of the server install. (You will see at the bottom of the screen press F3 to install 3rd party drives. After the drivers are installed, you should be able to proced.

You probably need a driver that is compatiable with windows 7. My recommendation is to find out the company that makes the disk drive and see if they have windows 7 drivers for it. Download the latest drivers and test it. If that does not work you might have to purchase a new drive that is compatiable with window 7.

Hello there:
it sounds like to me that the old printer drivers are not compatiable with windows 7.
What i would do is to contact the manufacture of the printer and explain to them about the new computer and windows 7 and see if they can help you with the right drivers for the printer that is compatiable with this system ok If not you may be looking at getting a different printer :( ok?
