Question about Amana ATB1832AR Top Freezer Refrigerator

SERVIS MO262S FROST FREE FRIDGE/FREEZER, FRIDGE NOT WORKING

I have a Servis MO262S frost free fridge freezer about 5 years old. The Freezer is working but the fridge is not. I have removed doors and taken inside back panel of freezer off, there is about 6 cm of solid ice and the fan is not working. I am now using a hair dryer to remove the ice. Any help would be gratefully received.

Servis frostfree fridge freezer not working after 2weeks holiday returned it had completely defrosted fridge & freezer power supply still connected. warning light on. done all the trouble shooting in the srvice manual still want go cold or freeze. light on in the fridge, no water in the rear tray & cleaned the overflow pipe??. Model No M0330-ALU 5yrs old. think it has 2 seperate thermostats, surely they wont both have gone at the same time???????

Having removed the ice the fan is now working and all seems fine again.

Fridge too cold!

don't forget that just turning down your fridge temp dose not mean your problem might be over yet. the freezer setting may also be too high & that will affect your fridge temp as well. i set both my control settings to around 50% of what is on the scale & that works perfect for my 7 yr old fridge. also, very important, is make sure the freezer portion is going through it's full defrost cycles, or it will freeze the upper portion inside the fridge. you should not have any frost build up in your fridge, nor should you have any in your freezer. that's why they call them FROST FREE. try the slow temp decrease over a period of a few days & hopefully that will work for you. good luck.

sounds like the thermostat has packed in, it works as a switch for the compressor (which will be constantly on) if its a conventional model and should be replaced. if its a frost free it will be a control module thats faulty.
never work on a live appliance and get expert advice if you are at all unsure when replacing parts as if not isolated properly you will give yourself a nasty shock.

i would firstly do a complete defrost- incase there has been a fault with the frost free system. if after a full defrost it runs ok then there was a fault somewhere in the defrost system including either defrost heater, cut out or possible jammed circulation fan.

it sounds like your refridgerator might be unlevel try adjusting the legs all the way down to start then level to floor if that doesnt fix it its probably the rubber gromet under the compressor usually there is four of them if one comes out(usually after moving it makes your compressor vibrate you can use almost any gromet of of any junk refrigerator or if you want you can by original replacement parts at one of your local appliance dealer

Frost free fridge/freezer - not cold in fridge

The most common problem with refrigerators not cooling when the freezer cooling is the fan which supplies cold air to the freezer. Not easy to get to in most cases. Another problem is the vent to the fridge part is blocked or not operating with the adjustment control.

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: You have a free standing fridge freezer from Servis (silver) and the fridge doesn't seem to be as cold as it should be. The freezer is absolutely fine just the fridge even though you have adjusted the thermometer inside.YouI've had it maybe 3/4 years.

You're still under warranty. Modification now voids the warranty. I would call warranty repair. This should be their headache not yours.

not sure if it happens with this brand but I know others have a problem with ice build up that can interfere with the fan. If you can remove the back panel in the freezer section and take a look. If not try defrosting it for a couple of hours to see if it makes a difference.
