Reasonable price depends on the person buying something. When I have purchased replacement batteries for a cordless phone I have gone to Radio Shack or Best Buy. Now depending on the age of the phone, you might be better off buying a new phone rather then replacing the battery, because some of the batteries can run almost as much as a new phone.

As guessed rightly, the battery is faulty and now needs a replacement.
And to your question, yes you can buy a replacement battery but you need to be careful which battery you buy because there are many similar batteries which might not work for your camera.
To this effect, if you are confused on what to do or how to get the battery, it is advised that you give it to a repairer who would help you buy replacement battery and also fix it if there is any other problems.

Where to buy a battery?

Im not aware of your location, however, is would suggest the tips for buying laptop battery. The battery can be bought from authorized delear of the manufacturer or any computer store but most importantly, the battery is supposed to be replaced with a genuine new one (not replacement). I suggest that you buy a new genuine battery (not any replacement), as genuine battery would last longer and serve you best.

It's much better to buy the battery from the manufacturer's website. The transaction is a lot safer and reliable. Take there are two categories of battery the ORIGINAL and REPLACEMENT. Normally the highe mAh capacity has the longer battery life. The price of REPLACEMENT batteries are much lower than the ORIGINAL batteries.
