Question about Philips 32PFL3403D/27 32 in. LCD TV

I just bought my Philips 32" lcd tv and tried to hook up the ps3

I used the HDMI cable I had for my 42"LG tv and the Philips says format is not supported? Am I doing something wrong? I have tried to look on the Philips website but that was no help and neither was Costco concierge service all they did was refer me back to Philips website!! Please help I want to play my PS3 on it and I have no cable in my room so it is the only HDMI cable going into it!!

If your old tv was 1080p and the new tv isn't the you need to change the res to 720p on the playstation. i beleave there is also a reset button on ps3 you could use.

You have to first plug in the s-video before you use hdmi so you can set it to HDMI on your ps3 when you go to your setting. Then it should work. If you already did that and it still doesnt work its probably the HDMI cord

I have an LG 42LC2D TV and when I connect my laptop to it through an HDMI cable, there is no audio. It is definitely the TV and not the laptop because the audio works on my friend's TV with the same cable....

did you use the audio in cable which is in your TV cause HDMI works video interface not a audio

I suspect that the TV you have does not support the ARC function that the sound bar has. What you may have to do is use the Optical In from the sound bar to the TV and you should be good to go. You may have to change the TV's settings to use the Optical In though. So you should end up with the BluRay Player connected to the TV via an HDMI cable, the sound bar connected to the TV via the Optical In using a fiber optic cable. Hope this helps.

If you are using HDMI output could be a bad or cheap cable.
I had same problem, tried another HDMI cable and all OK.

I bought a lg 42le4500 led/lcd tv and hooked it up to my v+ box via a hdmi lead, but picture is a bit fuzzy is there somthink i can do to sort this?

Check the setting on the V+box for a HD setting hook up should improve the picture.Still have the same problems,the HDMI cable it is the problems,changes another HDMI cable

When connecting the ps3 to a nice TV like that, you want to use an HDMI cable. You can use the stock red white and yellow plugs to connect to the back of the TV, however you will not get the full HD experience like with the HDMI cable.

Invalid format error with P1600 blu-ray and LG LCD TV 42"

It may be a firmware issue if hdmi works with other items such as playstation.
If no hdmi the main Pcb hdmi ports are bad and the main Pcb would have to be replaced.

Consumers cannot upgrade the firmware so a shop would be the only option.

I solve it already my problem by connecting my ps3 to an 32 inches lcdtv and I change the videosetting to my ps3 to default setting because before when I had my sony bravia 32 inches I changed it to 1080p via HDMI cable signal...After I changed to default settings I connected it again to my own LG lcdtv 19 inches but it sadly 1080p is not so very much supported but anyway I can play now ps3 games...
