Disable plug & play from BIOS. Now re-install the game and the required driver. From Control Panel--systems--Device Manager, check the properties of the Graphics card drivers and check if there is any clash of resources, if so then allot it manually. Hope this works....sodeep

Try removing the card, boot it up and let your system run for 5 min, now shut down ant re-install the card then start ur PC. It will say new hardware found So again insert the driver CD & see if the card is accepted by your PC. If van be online during the 2nh operation you just get some tips from their support staff, in case of difficulty..sodeep

To upgrade to a newer and better CPU processors enabling me to play more quality games Min requirement CPU type and speed Intel 2 duo or equivalent What types and models and specs please. Have at...

You should get a quad core processor, with a minimum of 3 to 4 gigs of ram, and an asus SLI or crossfire Motherboard. This and a nice 1 terrabite drive can be done for under $500.00, unfoutunatelly, thats just the way they make it. I PLAY cod4, and I run a dual core with 2 gigs of ram and a $300.00 asus MB, with twin 7900 video cards in sli. and it just about runs it, the new games are processor and ram intense, let alone video cards. I would suggest a single card if cost is a factor, you can always add a second or even a third card later. But the you don't want to be the slowest guy playing, especially if you like first person multiplayer shooters

Something wrong with SLI

If you are using two SLI card they need to be bridged together so that the GPUs work together to process the load. Also, in your BIOS you must make sure you configure it to use SLI. Furthermore, the most important thing is that if you are using SLI cards that you update the graphics softeware and set the cards to be bridged. SLI is flaky sometimes, just have to iron out the behavior and tweak it over time and make sure that everyting is clocked right.

Cant play game

Unless you have a laptop built for gaming you can't. They run between $1800 to $5000. , build a desktop system for gaming and keep the laptop for other stuff. My desktop has twin 7950's in sli mode. you need a faster hd and graphics card along with 2 gigs of ram and at least a 2gig dual core, now they run 3 gig quad cores.

Video cards

The 260 gtx is a nice card but ATI just came out with their new cards and the Radeon HD 4850 is faster for about $100 less than the 260GTX.

But WOW uses an older graphics engine and low poly count models with that cartoony look. WOW will run great on some fairly old hardware so if he is using that computer for WOW only and is running SLI then there is no reason to upgrade. He probably has the resolution maxed out and the detail settings maxed out. If he is playing on a 32" 720p widescreen TV then the resolution should be set to a maximum of 1280X768. The rest of the settings should be adjusted to maximize the experience to your liking.

Some LCD TVs to add lag because of the image processing that is hapenning behind the scenes, some TVs have a gaming mode that minimizes this lag. Also your internet connection could be the culprit causing your lag.

In the end you do not need an new video card to play WOW. If he wanted to play Crysis with high detail then that would be a different story.

Asus A8N sli Premium - sli problems

I went through your bios manual three times & did not come across a setting that gives you the option as you listed above.
What I did come across & triple checked your Manual Pg. 2-28 section 14. Asus EZ selector card connector (144-pin SLI_CON.
When using two PCIE SLI cards make sure the card is seated correctly & set for Dual Video Cards. (extreamly important).
Pg. 4-34, section 4.4.9 SLI mode Recommend kepping to Auto. Than the Bios detects the setting of theSLI selector card.
Refering to the sentance above the manual recommends all settings be set to Auto. Your Bios will do the rest. If for unknown reason you no longer have your manual you can download it from Asus. You'll need to fill in the 3 windows under, Please Select the Product.

CANNOT SET UP SLI MODE

So it sounds like you are able to enable SLI mode, but once you do, you have no video output (upon reboot). The most likely problem is that it's now in SLI mode, but your monitor cable is hooked up to the wrong video card; try changing it to the other video card, and see if you have output from that one.
