I have inseted a extra network card into the pc closest to the printer/copier. I have connected the printer/copier via network cable to the computer. When I look on the pc i dont see the printer/copier. Could someone please help me to get the printer working. I have the drivers but am not sure how it all works.
Open up your printers and faxes window from the control panel. select add a printer. select a local printer option(first one)hit next and then select create a new port and select standard tcp/ip port. hit next a few times and there will be a promt for the printer ip address(find that by printing a configuration page on your printer and make sure you have auto dhcp turned on or auto on from your printer. input the ip address in there and then load the divers when they promt you. make sure you hit have disk then browse to where your driver is downloaded to and select the .dll file and you will be good to go. make sure your router is assigning auto ip address's.
