Hit drivers tab on this page:
-then hit "drivers and software" link (YOU MUST ALLOW POPUPS!)
-If a yellow box appears in popup hit "Driver/software" tab in popup
-fill in circle of driver for your OS
-Scroll down on new page and hit "I Agree - Begin Download"
-Then scroll down down and you will see a link to your file.

Hi Ruby, Actually you can install the printer from the internet by simply downloading the drivers from this Canon support site.You just have to select your Operating System[Windows Xp,Windows7,Windows Vista etc] to download the corresponding drivers.
Connect the printer, if your system is XP it should find it and install it from its own resources If That does not happen, go to Start/Printers and Faxes./Add a printer Click on this- Click on 'Select from list. Select Canon, scroll down to your model or if it is a new machine to a model in that series click OK
Hello, try downloading a current working driver at the canon website (google canon, it will take you to the site list, go to drivers, type in your model and download to pc. Save new driver n disk in case of needing a reinstall later. Make sure you uninstall all drivers for the printer first then install new one. Good luck.
