Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
You need the Postscript driver.
But the question is: The machine already have the PS optional?
Because you will need it to use that driver. For that model it is optional.
Mac OS do not support the standard PCL driver
I assume that the "Start Copy Black" light and "Start Copy Color" light is also blinking. The product has a fatal error or the scanner bar is unable to move.
Reset the printer:
With the power on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Wait 30 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
Wait until the Power light stops blinking. The reset is then complete.
Solution two: Make sure that the control panel overlay is installed correctly
the control panel overlay, or bezel, is incorrectly installed, the
product might indicate a false error condition. If the product has not
been set up before, ensure correct installation of the control panel
you already installed the control panel overlay, and your printer has
been working for some time, do not attempt to reinstall the overlay.
Press firmly on the overlay to ensure proper installation of the overlay
adhesive or pins.I hope this helps. Thank you for using FixYa. Keep me posted. Jas247
The Mk6 spj w/pss has an overlay with buttons over the sensors. The functionality is very much like a microwave keypad. These buttons go bad over time and you can replace the overlay for under $20. When you press the buttons they contact some inductive sensors on a circuit board underneath which induces a current flow in the sensor. The pads flatten out over time and dirt, oil and food can accumulate under the pads between the pad and sensor. This causes decreased sensitivity and poor function of the buttons. You may be able to carefully remove the overlay and clean it and the underlying circuit board with spray electronic cleaner. This works for awhile, but I usually just replace the overlay. The new overlay comes with a new layer of adhesive. Hope this helps.
Create a mask or layer for each spot color you want to print using only black. When printing spot colors anything on the mask in black will be printed in the spot color. For foils, print a couple of layers of black ink before you print the foil to get a very good effect. Remember to check the overlay option so the paper doesn't get ejected.
this problem was not resolved as my problem did not relate to a gestetner machine but a Lexmark printer. At no time did I declare what machine I was using, and can only assume that the mix up occured when I was re connected after my first connection had ended prematurely.
