I have a averatec 3200 series with a screen which is 1/3 blank at the bottom so I cant see the full screen, I dont think it's a graphic issue because when I connect the the laptop to another screen, I can see the full screen as it should be. The other issue I have is with regards to the power jack, its loose so trying charge the battry can take days at times because the charge keeps going off even with little movement, How do I acces the jack and Is tere anywhere I could download the service manual. Thank you for any assistant you could provide.
The LCD needs to be replaced. As for the D/C Jack its the sort of laptop an engineer would have to play by ear. Or in otherwords work it out as they go along. Try removing all of the screws that you can find and be careful that you know where the screws go back afterwards. You might need to flick the hinge covers off to access the rest of the laptop. They also tend to have plastic clips all around them.

If you have access to another machine you can create a disk to fix the ntldr issue. Please see the following website. http://www.tinyempire.com/notes/ntldrismissing.htm
The flash disk could be faulty, especially when it draws too much power, and this will cause the USB ports to shut down and the other USB devices won't work until the faulty device is removed.
It could be the power cable or the DC jack itself. DC jack requires a re solder to the same main board. This repair can get expensive being you must take out the whole main board. Jack itself cost about 7-15 dollars and is easy to do if your comfortable with soldering.
eBay is full of power jacks for various computers. It isn't a difficult thing to do to replace it if you have a fair amount of soldering/desoldering experience. Be very careful and wear some sort of grounding device because you might toast the motherboard as you work on it.
I'm guessing you are having problems with it charging, including having to find a specific spot where there is a good connection and/or having to apply pressure in order for it to charge.
the power jack plug is still loose. Tad risky opening up the shell like that, perhaps the problem was deeper than just the jack....I am curious if it can do a full battery charge if you left it recharge for a couple of hours.
