If no brand/model then your next best bet is to get the chipset number and download a generic driver. The chipset is the largest IC (LSI) on the modem board. Most often, they are made by Conexant, ESS, Lucent to name a few. Once you have determined the chipset number (ex. Conexant HSF1 CX11252-11), google for modem drivers of the chipset number or try the chipset manufacture's website. Good luck and kind regards.

Which driver or software can use in order to use my Sim card for air tell Uganda network as a modem ?

ask them your 3g? service provider
and the HP hardware 3g does not work there. HP does not have that.
let me be clear, ask the ISP. this. yours.
ask them for the hardware to do that.
most ISP only have few modems that do this and only theirs
why not ask them , we in USA ,same answer.
They have phone to call for support, so call them
3/4/5G call them.

the Sim slot is only for the HP WWLAN card and only works with that card and that card is useless in Uganda, as is the HP sim slot,

call them.

here I am in USA and have T-mobile (example)
i CALL THEM AND THEY TELL ME SORRY 5G LTE IS ONLY FOR YOUR CELL PHONE.! (later things can change)
AND MEANS NO MODEMS SOLD OR RENTED TO ME.(for PC's)
THERE ARE LIKE WHAT 10,000 ISP ON EARTH, NO 2 THE SAME
NOR SAME MAP AREA COVERAGE. TOWN BY TOWN
CALL THEM. sorry my crystal ball is fuzzy this week.

How to plug a WNR1000 Wireless Router into a Hughes net HN7000S modem

It should connect with an Ethernet cable. Looks like a phone cable but is twice as wide with 8 pins instead of 4. Plug one end into the modem's Ethernet output port and plug the other end into the router's single WAN/Internet input port.

Where can i buy arris tm722G?

There are a couple of options you can try. 1) Contact Arris directly for details on how to purchase this modem. 2) Try and see if this modem is located on eBay or any other auction site. *** I have not been able to find a site that sells this modem. But I have found people in a similar situation as yours. They have Comcast internet and instead of renting the modem they want to purchase, or upgrade. check out these two links. Here and Here

My dimension 3100 is not detecting a modem

Sir,
Respectfully please first check if there is a modem in the desktop PC since the dimension 3100 is not pre-equipped with a modem. you have to attach an internal modem manually on one or more PCI slots on the mother board.
the process is given here....

1
  • Turn off the computer. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet. Disconnect the power cord, attached peripheral devices and any other cables.

  • 2 Locate the cover release latch on top of the computer, near the back. Place the computer on its side, with the removable cover facing upwards. Slide the cover release latch back and lift the removable cover off of the computer. Set the removable cover aside.

  • Locate the PCI and PCI Express slots near the bottom of the system board. Select a slot that corresponds with your internal modem card. Open the card retention door on the back of the computer and remove the filler bracket for the card slot you will be using.

  • 4 Place the internal modem card into the appropriate card slot and press it firmly into place. Close the card retention door. Replace the removable cover and return the computer to an upright position.
  • 5 Connect one end of the telephone cord into the LINE port on your internal modem card; plug the remaining end into a telephone jack. If desired, connect a telephone to the internal modem card via the PHONE port.
  • 6 Reconnect the power cord and all previously disconnected cables. Plug the power cord into an available electrical outlet. Turn on the computer. If any installation software came packaged with the internal modem card, run the program and follow the onscreen directions. Your internal modem is now ready for use.

How do you replace an internal modem on Dell Dimension 5100 desktop? Can we replace it with an external modem? Do you have to remove the old internal modem before you can replace it with an external modem?...

yes you can replace it with an external modem or you can purchase a PCI card modem and install it. The old internal modem does not have to be removed, but if it helps you can uninstall the drivers for it.
